時至中秋，天朗氣清，加上月圓皎潔，詩人的心情也是格外好，中秋夜晚，已有九月寒意。

錢塘江海潮盛景得遇佳節，實在良辰不辜負。比之白居易的“山寺月中尋桂子，郡亭枕上著潮頭”，興致更勝一籌。

張孝祥，一位在蘇軾和辛棄疾之間起到重要過渡作用的詞人，這首中秋詞即是他的代表作。

洞庭青草、素月分輝，銀河燦爛萬物空明之中，詩人乘船而過，看江水澄澈，嘆自己仕途不順。

雖心情悵然，但有明月相伴，忍不住扣舷歌之，中秋時節的自然風光足以慰藉人心，沉浸其中，不知今夕何夕。

賞析：

時年八月五日，詩人重訪舊地，二十年光陰匆匆過，借中秋團圓之節感懷：老友離散，物是人非，南宋朝局江河日下，難免愁上心頭。

最喜歡的確是這句“欲買桂花同載酒，終不似，少年游”，年少時真是好啊，有酒有朋友，一路桂花肆意游，可惜，再也不是當年了。

4. 轉朱閣，低綺戶，照無眠。不應有恨，何事長向別時圓？人有悲歡離合，月有陰晴圓缺，此事古難全。但愿人長久，千里共嬋娟。

此處并沒有將這首膾炙人口的詩歌全部放上來，而是選取了其中最廣為人知的一段，英譯文極好，很值得借鑒或直接背誦。

月亮轉過朱紅的樓閣，掛在雕花的窗上，照著絲毫沒有睡意的自己。

這句譯文很巧妙，將“照無眠”譯作shed her light upon the sleepless bed。無眠的是人，譯文中卻用sleepless來形容bed。而床無眠只有一種情況，就是人沒有躺在上面，側面映襯了作者毫無睡意，可能正站在床前賞月吧。?
